This morning we guessed Oliver's Mystery Items as he gave us great clues for items that start with "O"- In his bag, Oliver had an orange, oatmeal and an ostrich!!!!
We also started our "Map of The Heart". This is our beginning step for Writer's Workshop. After reading The Important Book,, the Kindergarteners filled in a heart of things/people/activities/places that they care about. We will use these ideas as starting points for our simple stories.
This afternoon, we played Roll and Count. Using a spinner and a dice, children thought about adding or subtracting from a given number. They used a work board with 10 dots to help them figure out their ending number.
