e spent time this morning brainstorming about leaders that we know. We did this because next month (specifically on February 1st), Bren Bataclan, am amazing artist who has done previous work at Loker, will be painting a chosen leader for each classroom. Our conversation was meaningful and included these leaders: MLK, Abraham Lincoln, Michele Obama, Barak Obama, "my sister", "my brother", "me", and George Washington. As a group, we will decide who we would like to be portrayed outside of our classroom- stay tuned!
We also worked on a writing piece about our dreams for the world. Children painted and then wrote about how they would make our world a better place. We look forward to displaying these soon.!
We ended our day with math station which we continued from yesterday. At home, feel free to give a simple addition or subtraction equation and see if your child can tell a story that matches the equation. This should make for fabulous dinner conversation! :-)
