This morning, Olivia, a former Room 1 student and current Second Grader, joined us as our Mystery Reader. She read If You Take a Mouse To The Movies. Thank you for spending some time with us, Olivia!
We started new Literacy Stations this morning. One of the stations was stamping out trick/sight words, while another was unscrambling a sentence. Other children met in guided reading groups, used Lexia and read Independently.
This afternoon, I officially introduced a "number bond" to the class. Playing "snap it", the children had to identify the "whole" and then the 2 parts. We will use number bonds as a way of creating math equations.
