This morning we read Red: A Crayon's Story. This book relates the lesson of not judging others for what you see on the outside, but my asking questions and finding out information about that person. I then paired up the children and had them share something you can't tell by just looking at them. This created a great discussion among classmates.
During our Literacy time, we read Snowmen At Night and the children followed step by step directions to make their own snowmen! Ms. Lewis has created a fabulous background for our snowmen- please check our snowmen out located outside our classroom!
This afternoon, Ms Meyler joined the class to teach us about Scratch, Jr. Scratch, Jr. is an I-Pad app which teaches children how to code. We look forward to finding more time to do coding with Ms. Meyler in the near future!
