During Open Circle today, we acted out scenes where the saying "Ask 3 Before You Ask Me" might apply. Children role played working during Writer's Workshop, zipping up a sweatshirt and asking for a push on the tire swing.
During Phonics today, we continued segmenting and blending sounds. We also worked on rhyming words. The Kindergarteners also enjoyed taking the tiles from their magnet boards and arranging themselves in alphabetical order. We will plan to do more activities like this in the future!
We ended our day with math playing "Combination Toss. Children worked in pairs to toss 2 die and then mark the sum of the two die on the graph that was given to them. If the Kindergartners had time, they were then asked write equations to represent their sums.
