We started the day with a fabulous magical performance by Leland Faulkner brought to us by the Cultural Enrichment Committee. Mr. Leland did some fabulous shadow puppets, told a story about a woman in the country of Turkey, and even made a bird appear! Don't be surprised if your child wants to use a flashlight at home to create his/her own shadow puppets :-)
After completing an obstacle course during gym class, we continued with our Writer's Workshop stories. The KIndergarteners are working on editing their work and making sure that they can read the words that that they wrote. We look forward to sharing these with you soon!
During Math, we watched a video of the book The ShapeSong Sing Along by SteveSongs. After reviewing the names of the 2-dimensional shapes, the children started to create their own shape scenes- we will continue working on these tomorrow morning!
