We started the day off with School Meeting- the Kindergarteners had a chance to watch a special video about Chinese New Year. Children then shared about their Chinese New Year traditions.
We also continued to work on our Writer's Workshop stories. Many children are writing stories about their pets or people in their families. Writing during this time is such a lovely, quiet time- we were able to put on some classical music today which really made this time feel special.
We ended our day with a math/art project. The Kindergarteners used tracers to make penguins and little fish. They were then asked to make an addition equation showing the fish in their picture. We hope to hang these outside our classroom for all to see!
