Today we enjoyed our party and had a moment to reflect on how we filled our bucket! The Kindergarteners enjoyed their extra recess and extra quiet time too!
During Fundations we did our first dictation! The KIndergarteners worked hard to properly form their letters and to think about capital letters and what punctuation (period vs. exclamation point) to use at the end of a sentence.
We ended our day making paper chains to represent the "teen numbers". After a discussion about the way that a teen number is a group of "ten" and "some more" we also watched a video to reinforce this concept. Then, the children made a paper chain representing a specific teen number. They were asked to make a chain of 10 plus more to show their number. We will continue working on these tomorrow morning.
