The Kindergarteners really enjoyed School Meeting this morning and hearing the Fourth Grade song of "Fifty Nifty United States". They also had the chance to see a video created by 5th graders which interviewed Ms. Chin, our lunch cook and server.
The children also received reading logs to record the books that they are reading during Reader's Workshop and Quiet Time. This seemed to make them very motivated to read and see the progress in all that they are doing.
During math today, we continued to review shapes. The children worked in pairs to copy patterns. They first started with 4 pattern blocks and then increased the amount of pattern blocks used. The class was very busy and engaged during this time.
