Finally, a day filled with sunshine! We made the most of the beautiful day by playing outside and running in the fields. It feels like spring might finally be here!
We also were lucky enough to have Blake's mom and brother join us for Star Reader. They read the book Circus Ship by Chris Van Dusen. Thank you for spending your morning with us! :-)
We also had a chance to share many of our stories that we have written during the beginning part of Writer's Workshop. Hearing friends' stories helped to inspire many to start writing new stories and to help them think of new ideas for their writing. I am sending some stories home so your child can share them with you! You will know that they are "official" Writer's Workshop if I have commented at the top of the story. Enjoy celebrating these special writing pieces!
During math, the Kindergarteners partcipiated in a Write Around the Room. Each child started at their table spots and wrote the number that completed a string of numbers. They then moved table to table, spot to spot, to complete other strings of numbers. This activity helped to review number writing and number order.
