We had a mixed up today as we had music and art because of a scheduling issue on Friday. The Kindergartners were very flexible and , I think, enjoyed the change of pace. We also started our day with Choice as our choice time yesterday was too short!
During Writer's Workshop, we wrote a special book for Elliott as he is moving to New York. I was so impressed and touched at the thoughtfulness of each child as each Kindergartener wrote an individual note to Elliott and used their most beautiful handwriting. I think this is a book that will mean a lot to Elliott in his travels.
During math, I shared one of my favorite songs- The Shapesong SwingAlong by SteveSongs. Each Kindergartener received 2-D shapes and made their own shape collage, using the song/video as inspiration. We will continue with these tomorrow morning.
