Today the Kindergarteners enjoyed listening to two fabulous books read to us by Caleb's grandparents- thank you for joining us this morning!
The children continued to be excited to find sight words as they read their books during Reader's Workshop. I also met with a guided reading group, while Ms. Dennehy read individually with children. I think that each child is feeling really proud of his/her accomplshments as they are beginning to see themselves as readers.
We ended the day with math as the children learned the game "Make that Number". In pairs, children rolled 2 dice and had to create an equation either by additing or subtracting to make a number on the board. This required a lot of discussion and thought, but the children perservered and enjoyed it.
