During Open Circle this morning, we reviewed what's expected behavior on the bus ride and at Garden In The Woods on Friday. We role-played being on a bus and listening to the docent at Garden In The Woods. The Kindergarteners really enjoyed the plays where all the children acted. This was a good way to also help those feeling nervous about the trip know what to expect.
We continued our Literacy Stations this morning- I worked with many children on our Reader's Theatre scrips, while others played "Jet Boat Harbor" with Ms. Richlen, focusing on medial vowels. Others read independently , sorted words based on their medial vowel , or write a story to go along with a silly picture.
We planted in the garden! The Kindergarteners loved planting with Ms Johnson and she helped us to plant a rainbow garden. We look forward to watching our vegetables grow and then harvesting in the summer and fall. Thank you, also, to Olivia's mom, Harper's mom, and Cami's mom who joined us today.
