Today was a very busy day! We started the school meeting. Mr. Jones shared about his trip to China- he showed many pictures to help us understand the similarities and differences between the schools in Beijing and our school. The Kindergarteners loved hearing about the different types of food that Mr. Jones ate in China and learning that children use chopsticks for their eating.
We also spend time with Room 2 practicing our song "It's a Wonderful World" for our performance next week at school meeting. Ms. Abrams explained the art project that we will be doing to accompany this song- we will work on this tomorrow.
Ms. Furey, one of the First Grade teachers at Loker, joined our class today as a Star Reader in honor of Ms. Dennehy's Star of The Week. She read the book Swimmy to the class!
A quick reminder: We will NOT be having our Open House on June 2nd. Instead, our Open House will be from 6-7 on the evening of June 15th. If you are here for school meeting, you are more than welcome to come and see the new work that is displayed in our classroom before school meeting, but we will not having a formal open house until June 15th.
