The Kindergarteners started the day by sorting words by their medial vowel sound on our pocket chart. We referred to this chart during Fundations. Tomorrow morning, the children will be asked to write one word as part of our morning message. We then worked on math addition word problems which children had to show their work and then solve their equation.
Shree's dad joined us our Mystery Reader after morning meeting. Thank you for spending part of your morning with us and putting a smile on each child's face!:-)
We also worked on our May self portraits this afternoon. Ms. Dennehy reviewed the step by step process for the self-portrait, focusing on how to show a mouth that has lost teeth, and the children watched and then truly did their best work. We look forward to showing the progression of self portraits with you!
