The Kindergarteners had such fun being in their pajamas today and having their special stuffed animals at school! We spent time getting to know each special guest and learning about where it came from and where it "lives". Our special guests joined us for morning meeting, snack, writing, and math!
During Writer's Workshop, the children had a choice of what to work on independently. Some chose to work on writing a non-fiction story, while others chose to complete a "how-to" writing activity. Others continued to write letters to friends or family, as the teachers circulated to conference with each child.
We ended our day with math as the childrenn played "Roll and Cover" with a friend. After rolling a pair of dice, each child had to add up the "pips" on the dice and then color the corresponding ice cream cone. We will continue playing this at arrival tomorrow morning.
