The Kindergarteners enjoyed the strings/band concert today and learned about the different instruments which they can choose to play in 3rd-5th grade. There were all different types of songs played- from Star Wars to Muana! The strings/band teachers also pointed out the different instruments and the students showed us how they all sounded. Ask your child if there was a particular instrument which he/she noticed or enjoyed listening to.
During Fundations, the children enjoyed fixing my mistakes and re-writing sentences. As always, we are concentrating on making sure that "i" is always capitalized, ending punctuation and spelling our trick words properly.
We ended the day by having a math snowball fight! The Kindergarteners each wrote 2 equations, using unifix cubes to help them figure out their subtraction or addition problem. Then, they threw their "snowballs" and solved each other equations..
