Today the Kindergarteners went to art for the first time! They worked with Ms . Soeltz during this time- ask your child what he/she did during art time.
We also introduced the "take a break chair". This is where children will be asked to go if they are not following the class rules on the rug. We explained that you are not in trouble if you are asked to take a break (specifically, parents won't be called, unless a pattern is being shown), but it's a time for your body to calm down.
After reading The Little Engine That Could, the Kindergarteners also had the chance to write about their hopes and dreams for Kindergarten. We will have these on display in our classroom.
